My Girls

This summer has been a tough summer to get through so far.  Even though we have done quite a bit of stuff, the kids are still bored.  They miss the daily routine of school and finding them activities is difficult in the rainy weather, which we have had quite a bit of. 

Then there are the days where they are total sisters and at each other's throats. I understand this completely, my brother used to make me nuts too.  But I try desperately hard to be even and fair.  Yes, Mylee is a bundle of energy and Kiya is a bundle of hormones but they are sisters and they need to know to get along.  And when I get the days where I wake up before them, go and make my coffee and sit on my bed reading while they wake up, and then hear them playing a game or singing a song together, I know that everything might be okay (for a couple hours anyway).

I know they love each other, and I also know they make each other nuts, but I am so glad they are the human beings they are.
